- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apple pie filling
- 1 egg, for egg wash
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles.
- In another bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla to make the filling.
- Place cream cheese mixture and apple filling on half of the rectangles, then cover with the remaining rectangles. Seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and cut slits to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
