Baklava Muffins

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts and cinnamon.
  6. Divide the batter evenly into the muffin tins.
  7. Drizzle the honey on top of each muffin before baking.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some extra chopped nuts on top before baking.
  • These muffins are best served warm but can be stored for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
