A delicious and easy-to-make Black Cherry Granita that will keep you cool during hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups black cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar; heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the pitted black cherries and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2 hours.
  4. Scrape the mixture with a fork every 30 minutes until fluffy and granita-like.

Notes

  • Serve garnished with mint leaves for extra flavor.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your taste.
