Cantaloupe Sea Salt Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe cantaloupe, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the cantaloupe until smooth.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and sea salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Stir in the cantaloupe puree and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
