Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole

A delicious and comforting Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole that is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add the rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover, cooking for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in half of the cheese.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining cheese, and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
