- 4 large Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half of them in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese and half of the turkey bacon over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and bacon.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme, and pour it over the layered potatoes.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender and cheese is bubbly.
