Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

A creamy, cheesy potato dish layered with turkey bacon, perfect for any family gathering.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half of them in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese and half of the turkey bacon over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and bacon.
  6. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme, and pour it over the layered potatoes.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute with other types of cheese if desired.
  • Let sit for a few minutes before serving to help it set.
