Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu

A luscious twist on the classic tiramisu, enhanced with the rich flavors of cherry and amaretto for a delightful dessert experience.

  • 1 cup pitted cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped cherries and amaretto liqueur. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the cherry-amaretto mixture and layer them in a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace amaretto with cherry juice.
  • Feel free to add more cherry topping for extra flavor.
