  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Make sure to use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
