  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine milk and cream, and heat over medium until just beginning to simmer.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
  4. Slowly pour the heated milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
