Christmas Sausage Rolls

A delightful recipe for Christmas sausage rolls made with beef and turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, combine the ground beef, turkey bacon, onion, and garlic. Cook over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Stir well and remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each pastry rectangle.
  6. Fold the pastry over and seal the edges with a fork.
  7. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
  • For a spicy kick, add chili flakes to the meat mixture.
