Delightful and easy-to-make crack green beans with turkey bacon that serve as the perfect side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
  2. Remove the beans and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking.
  3. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  4. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the blanched green beans for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and crumbled bacon to the beans; mix well and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute turkey bacon with regular bacon for added flavor.
