- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
- Remove the beans and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking.
