CREAMY SMOTHERED CHICKEN AND RICE RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the paprika, followed by the chicken thighs, browning them on both sides.
  4. Add rice, chicken broth, and cream of chicken soup, stirring well to combine.
  5. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 20-25 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  6. Stir in frozen peas in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.
