  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely before topping with brown sugar.
  9. Carefully caramelize the brown sugar with a kitchen torch until golden and crisp.
