Deliciously crispy fried mac and cheese bites infused with savory turkey bacon, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, milk, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls or bites.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the bites in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper to the mixture.
  • Can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
