Dad’s Creamy & Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Pour the heavy cream over the potatoes, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the cream.
  5. Add the chopped turkey bacon and cheese on top of the potatoes.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden brown.
