  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon filling.
  7. Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the filling over.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, brush the top with melted butter right after baking.
  • This bread can be served warm or at room temperature.
