Easy Runza Casserole That’s Comfort Food at Its Best

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey and chopped turkey bacon until browned.
  3. Add the onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in sauerkraut, garlic powder, and paprika; cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Unroll the crescent dough and lay it in a greased casserole dish.
  6. Spread the meat mixture over the dough and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Seal the edges of the dough and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
