- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup cherry jam
- 2 cups whipped cream
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk, and mix until combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about halfway with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Once cooled, cut a small cone out of the top of each cupcake and fill with cherry jam.
- Replace the top and pipe whipped cream on top to resemble a bite.
Notes
