  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For a crusty bread, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
