Homemade Jam Donut Focaccia

Ingredients

  • 500g strong bread flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 50g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 300ml warm water
  • 50ml olive oil
  • 200g fruit jam
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. After rising, punch the dough down and shape it into a flat disc.
  6. Use your fingers to create dimples all over the surface of the dough.
  7. Fill the dimples with fruit jam.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
