  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, paprika, and caraway seeds, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides.
  5. Mix in the tomato paste and beef broth, bringing to a simmer.
  6. Add the potatoes, carrots, bell pepper, and bay leaves.
  7. Cover and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, until the beef is tender.
  8. Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
  9. Remove bay leaves before serving.
