One Pot Creamy Cajun Sausage Pasta

A delicious and easy weeknight dinner that combines the bold flavors of Cajun seasoning with creamy pasta and sausage.

  • 1 pound Cajun sausage, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the penne pasta, chicken broth, heavy cream, and Cajun seasoning.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked, about 12-15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
