  • 1 package instant yeast

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Warm the milk and butter together until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the eggs and orange zest, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and orange juice to create icing, then drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add more orange zest.
  • Let the rolls cool completely before adding icing for a thicker layer.
