  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the dough into two logs, wrap them in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Slice the chilled dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
