  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cut the French bread into cubes and place it in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, making sure all pieces are soaked.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  5. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
