Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into shapes.
